Your mentor/role model I’ve had the good fortune of building up relationships with fellow professionals of substantial professional wisdom and acumen who taught me to aim high and instilled in me the one non-negotaible principle: Have a design that stands up to scrutiny; never compromise - and everything else will follow. What philosophy of life carries you through tough times? Fundamentally, I have a Christian faith, which permeates my mindset and carries me through good times and the testing. From this, I have the belief that everything comes to pass as it should, and that we have been given a license to explore and experiment in a temporary dispensation; although not unbridled, but with the responsibility of adding value in accordance with the gifts we have received. Retirement plans and destinations To design and oversee the establishment of health care centres for the underprivileged nationally, as well as investigating strategic alliances abroad. I don’t see myself ever retiring, only changing gears and making time to take up a passion for painting. Favourite pastimes? Travel, exploring new destinations, hiking, reading and painting.

The Architecture always tells you what it wants to be with every site - just listen, as it will also reject its site when the form is forced onto it. Simply put, I’m a ‘village girl’ with strong horticultural influences, which imply - you ascertain the land, nurture it and it will provide abundantly. Now, the traditionalist aspect has had to embrace the design thought process born in Academia - which inspired by modernism, and whose design product speaks of minimalistic contemporary architecture. Matriculated in 2003 from Zingisa Comprehensive High School; after which - in pursuit of an Arcitectural profession - I commenced my studies at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University from 2004-2009, officially obtaining BAS in 2010. Whilst under the tutelage of BNM Architects (PSJ, Mthatha, Bisho & East London) I continued my studies at the University of Free State, obtaining B. Arch (Hons) in 2013 and M Arch (Prof) in 2014. I then continued working and participated in PPE until April 2016, thereby obtaining my Professional Certification. In April 2017, I joined Boudry Architects as a Shareholder and Partner, in the ongoing pursuit of practising good architecture - conscious of its occupants and site. Amongst others, my training comprised Healthcare Facility Planning & Design - and this provided the opportunity of working on a number of successful Healthcare Facilities ranging from small to large.
